In Minor Mode (2022), Yunseon Jeong processes Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8 to make disturbing moments in Shostakovich’s life visible through his music. The experimental video aims to manipulate the viewer’s visual and acoustic perception in order to make Shostakovich’s chaotic mental situation at the time intersubjectively tangible.
